Hearts

Do broken hearts heal?

That is a good question. A question I have been asking myself for 2 years now. (After losing my daughter) I think they can 'heal' in a sense, scar over if you will.

Although, and maybe this is me being negative, but I don't think, at least for me, that my heart will be completely healed until the end of my mortal life. When I can see her again, and when I have more 'answers.'

I love you girl, let me know if I can help...

Carlee,
I love you! I agree with the last post, I think they scar up. But I think that Heavenly Father lets us keep the scars on purpose. Just like Elder Uchtorf who found out that he had a lung problem later on in life and that the reason it didn't cause him any problems is because he had to pedal that huge big while he delivered his moms laundry. These scars on his lungs were later found and the hard time that he went through eventually saved his life.
So I think that the scars can serve as life savers later on in life to us. That's not to say that it doesn't take time. Sometimes we have to fill our hearts with other things in order to help the healing.

Carlee, I haven't heard from you in forever!I hope you are alright. Hearts DO heal indeed. In my mind mortality is best handled with love...and you need a heart to do that. But, as you know the greatest act of love, The Atonement of Jesus Christ, has the power to heal all hearts.

I love you Carls and I would agree with all the above posts. Heart do heal, but they leave scars to remind us that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are right there with us feeling the pain we feel. That is what I love most about our Church, the fact that we are never alone, even in the hardest times possbile and when we are feeling the deepest sorrow. You truly are never alone, and I hope you can call upon any of us that have left you a post because I know that we would all love to listen and help ease your pain. LAVA!!
